11/15/08: Sixteen years of waiting came to a close on November 12th, when the old M-78 Drive-In was finally
torn down. The bulldozers took down the reamins of the drive-in, and the adjacent Super Cinemas indoor theatre.
We have the exclusive photos in the newly redesigned M-78 Drive-In Section.
R.I.P. M-78. On a more positive note, there's more drive-ins added to the Index Page.

of the 23's original screen tower, which she snapped in the late-1980's.
Also, more individual drive-in pages have been restored and uploaded, including the
Lakes in Brighton, the Blue Sky in Pontiac, the
Seaway in Algonac, the Ford-Wyoming 1-5 in Dearborn, the
Getty in Muskegon, and the Gratiot in Roseville.

08/23/08: Please excuse the mess, Michigandriveins.com is
currently undergoing a major overhaul! The core drive-in theater pages are all offline at this time, and many other
pages and hotlinks are disabled. Refer to the Home Page for detailed info on which sections
are online. As work progresses, more sections and pages will be restored, and eventually you will be able to access
the individual theater pages with enhanced photo galleries. Once completed, this site will be bigger and better than
ever. In the meantime, here's a little teaser for you patient Michigan Drive-In fans. This elusive photo (along with
another surprise shot) has finally been uncovered. Both of these amazing historical images be fully unveiled with the
new site launch!

02/17/08: We're catching up on some overdue updates. First up, the
Outdoor Moovies
page has been updated. It now features short video clips from the cable TV
program, including footage of the M-78 marquee demo.
Unfortunately, Outdoor Moovies is no longer on the air in Lansing, but
it will live on here at Michigandriveins.com. We will be gradually getting more
of the footage online for your viewing pleasure.
Stay tuned!!
