The US-23 Twin Drive-In Theater is located at 5200 Fenton Rd. (Old US-23) in Flint, MI. Technically, the drive-in
was actually on US-23 for just a short time in the fifties. The drive-in opened in 1952 on what was then known as US
Highway 23, an undivided 4-lane road. When the new US-23 expressway opened near Flint in 1958, the old highway
US-23 was redesignated as Fenton Rd. Built by his father, the US-23 is owned by Lou Warrington. Lou has operated
and meticously maintained the drive-in for many years. The theater was twinned with the addition of a west screen
in 1985. This "recycled" screen was actually one half of the large original screen salvaged from the nearby South
Dort Drive-In. The other half was intended to be used for a planned third screen. Instead, it was pressed into
service to replace the original wood screen tower which was destroyed in an unfortunate 1997 arson fire. The US-23
has the capacity for 1,200 cars, and has both speakers and FM Radio Sound. The box office opens at 8 pm and the
show starts around dusk. You'll always catch double features of
Hollywood's latest at the US-23, adult tickets are bargain priced at only $6.00, and children are $2.00. The US-23
nets very little profit from ticket sales, the movie studios get most of it. The drive-in relies on snack bar sales
to make any profit. So, please refrain from bringing your own food in, patronize the reasonably priced US-23
Snack Bar instead. It will help ensure the theater's survival! Please phone the US-23 at (810) 238-0751 to confirm showtimes
before traveling. Find Flint area lodging at Yahoo,
