Status: Gone, vacant lot, no trace. (Michigandriveins.com 9/98)
Update: The Pleasant opened June 11, 1965, it was built by the Chipmans, who also built the
Greenville and the Ionia DIT's. Built on 23 acres that were formerly part of the John
Weaver farm. The Pleasant was a year round DIT, sort of. Each year they closed briefly in March for between two to four weeks. The ads
indicate that the used "Bernz-O-Matic Sun Powered Heaters." The caption to the photo reads: "Area's Newest Outdoor Theater - This
view of the Pleasant Drive-In, the area's biggest entertainment center, shows the ticket booth, parking area and the mammoth screen. The new
theater is located on east M-20 and had its grand opening last Friday." (Staff photo by Blass) Tuesday June 15, 1965 Daily-Times News.
